ASU-Newport Softball Achieves Outstanding Academic Success with 3.7 Fall GPA

Newport, AR — The ASU-Newport Aviators softball team continues to set the standard for excellence on and off the field. Under the leadership of Head Coach Kevin Pearce, the team achieved an impressive 3.7 GPA for the Fall 2024 semester, highlighting their dedication to academic success.

The team's academic highlights include:

  • 5 athletes earning a perfect 4.0 GPA
  • 7 athletes maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher

"This group of young women exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete," said Head Coach Kevin Pearce. "They work tirelessly to excel both in the classroom and on the field, and their commitment to balancing both is a testament to their character. I'm incredibly proud of what they've accomplished."

The Aviators' academic success reflects ASU-Newport's mission of fostering a culture of achievement and perseverance. With the spring season fast approaching, the team looks forward to translating their hard work into continued success on the diamond.
